The 34,600-square-foot Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building 3 is home to research in food supplements, water and air remediation, and sustainable alternative fuel sources such as algae-based biofuel. There are three garden areas, each irrigated with cooling water from a nearby Salt River Project fuel cell. The building also earned a Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating System™
