Social Sciences Building

The Social Sciences Building features biophilic design, the incorporation of nature in human-made environments. The courtyard is cooled by a canvas-roof that defuses light and provides shade and a water fountain. The space is not air-conditioned, but feels naturally cooler due to these features. To the right of the social sciences building is another biophilic design that mimics the local Sonoran Desert ecosystem that we reside in.
