Paul C. Helmick Center

The Paul C. Helmick Center (HLMK) is a modernistic, five story, mixed-use building that houses the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, Del E. Webb School of Construction, the Future Sun Devil Welcome Center and the Sun Devil Marketplace.

The Helmick Center is a living laboratory showcasing the best of today’s high tech-oriented building and construction practices. The Helmick Center encourages collaboration with classrooms designed for group learning, workspaces you can find students hanging out in before and after classes and welcoming gathering spaces that bring people together at career fairs, student internship and job recruitment interviews, research conferences and engineering and construction business gatherings.

The Paul C. Helmick Center was formerly named the College Avenue Commons (CAVC). The Helmick Center is also home to the Future Sun Devil Welcome Center
