Sonora Center is home to the College of Letters & Sciences residential college. When needed, Sonora Center may also be home to additional residential colleges for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and the W. P. Carey School of Business. All rooms are two-bedroom, apartment-style arrangements (double-occupancy in each bedroom) with suite-style baths. Sonora was built in 1990.

Sonora residents enjoy these accommodations: tutoring centers, academic advising, laundry facilities, vending machines, air conditioning, swimming pool, volleyball court, tennis courts, community kitchens and basic cable. Sonora also has the Sonora Market convenience store, a health center office and is in close proximity to dining halls in HAV and Barrett.
