Casa de Oro is the 93,000 square-foot living-learning community for first-year students. Living and learning communities connect students with educational services and social, cultural and community activities to support personal and academic growth.

The 365-bed residence hall features one- and two-bedroom, suite-style units for two or four residents. Amenities include a social lounge, gaming lounge, study rooms, a community kitchen for programming use, laundry facilities, a business center and a landscaped interior courtyard. The hall is designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver specifications.
