The Fulton Center was the first ASU building to be certified through the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™.

The Fulton Center earned its LEED certification by reducing its urban heat island effect through roof and landscape design, reducing its water use by more than 30 percent, using recycled and regionally available building materials, maximizing indoor environmental quality and reducing landscape water usage by 50 percent.
